Review and develop an
operational strategy, mechanism and material
supports for establishing soil doctor
program. This also includes organization
of inception workshop and implementation
of the operational strategy throughout
the project.
(consisting of various sub-activities
such as 1) preparation of guidelines for
the development and promotion of the soil
doctor project in the sub-region; 2) Review
the limitations and the needs for building
a soil doctor network in the sub-region
as well as policies and existing networks
of agricultural cooperation of member
countries; 3) formulation of strategies
to promote the soil doctor networks and
guidelines for supporting sustainable
land and agricultural management through
a soil doctor network; and 4) selection
oforganization/agencies joining the project
both at the national and sub-regional

Organizing meetings/workshops to discuss
capacity building, knowledge exchang,
technology, and implementation of strategies
for developing and promoting soil doctor
networks in the Lancang-Mekong sub-region.

3) farmers(soil doctors)workshops, and
4) selecting pilot areas of each member
country for the implementation of the

Exchange of knowledge, technology and
best practices of land and agriculture
management in the Lancang-Mekong sub-region.
(consisting of sub-activities such as
1) collecting, studyingand exchanging
knowledge and best soil management measures
from the member countries; 2) establishing
and developing a knowledge platform to
support the project operation and soil
doctor network and 3) developing a soil
doctor network. specify measures, approaches,
or technologies to address land degradation
problems, etc.) |

through various media including scientific
equipment and tools

1) creating channels and outreach media
