A Study on Hydrological Characteristics and Sediment Transportation from Different Landuse Pattern in Lang Suan Watershed,Chumporn Province   Prapat Jindapol   ABSTRACT         The hydrological characteristics and sediment transportation from 4 types of landuse in 8 watersheds of Chumporn province during 1988 to 1990 are found that the watersheds,s area about 3.88 to 57.88 km2., average rainfall was 2,529.90 mm./yr., average run off was 1,038.96 mm./yr., average discharge coefficient was 0.42/yr.. The suspended sediment loss depends on the landuse patterns which are para-rubber, mixed orchard, coffee tree and mining land were 63.86, 250.37, 214.72 and 2,419.75 km./rai /yr. respectively. The average suspended sediment from agricultural landuse is 177.57 kg/rai/yr. and from the mining land is 1,589.98 kg./rai/yr. = 9 times which the soil was disturbed by mining.       Keywords : Hydrological, Sediment, Land use
