ABSTRACT

The Electromagnetic induction meter which measure the apparent electrical conductivity of soil profile from the surface to the depth of 7.5, 15 and 30 meter were used for predicting the electrical conductivity of groundwater at the depth of 7.5, 15 and 30 meter respectively. The experimental was carried out in Northeast 1997. The simple nonlinear regression analysis results showed statistically significant differences at the 1% level but the r2 values were 0.80, 0.77 and 0.81 respectively. This information at least can be used as the basis criteria to identify the quality of groundwater aquifer before the installing of the well in the salt affected soil.
