ABSTRACT

To increasing the rice production of KDML 105 in north-east of Thailand was carried out in five provinces from October1996-September1998 . The treatment is green manure, fertilizer , mauure and rice husk as soil amendments.
The result shows that the onfarm experiment or demonstration plot at Roi-Et province gave the highest rice yield 542.21 kg/rai. For four provinces gave 396.82, 363.51, 359.29 and 341.37 kg/rai of rice yield in Yasothorn, Chaiyapum, Ubonratchathane and Umnatcharoung respectively.
The munure application in to the experimental plot gave the highest rice yield in every district of the five provinces such as Nongpok duistrict in Roi_Et procvince that gave 678.00 kg/rai of rice yield was applied the manure 2 ton/rai. The Sawang verawong duistrict in Ubonratchatanee procvince that gave 520.00 kg/rai of rice yield was applied the manure 2 ton/rai etc. On the other hand, The Chaturat district in Chaiyapum procvince that gave 540.00 kg/rai of rice yield was applied the rice husk 2 ton/rai. The Rueumnatch duistrict in Umnatcharoung procvince that gave 456.33kg/rai of rice yield was applied the rice husk 2 ton/rai. The Mahachaichana duistrict in Yasothonr procvince that gave 502.58 kg/rai of rice yield was applied the Sesbania rostrata as green manure.
However, Sesbania rostrata as green manure is an alterrnative treatment which Land Development Department (DLD) selects to promote as green manure in salt affected soil and DLD will support the Sesbania seed for small farmer.
